Most ‘AI’ Companies Are Not AI Companies. Here’s How to Tell


We read this great article and it applies to talent management and recruiting/Talent Acquisition as any other industry.

AI is the new buzzword. Many companies are supposedly using AI, but are they really?

In order to assess this, here are a couple of questions to detect the empty promises:

  1. Does your AI systems get smarter with more data?
  2. Do you need manual input, or is your AI system autonomous?
Too often, basic data analysis or simple algorithms are boosted into AI claims. This is not the case. Many great technologies do not need AI to make great impact, but inflating your claims says more about the character of the company that the impact it can create.
