Who is behind Checkster?
Until 2006, Yves Lermusi (aka Lermusiaux) was leading Taleo Research, advising Fortune 500 companies on their talent management strategies. Yves discovered a common gap many individuals in these companies had yet to discover their own true talents. Yves knew there had to be a tool that would uncover their strengths, talents, and potential. After much research and development, Yves Lermusi created Checkster. Checkster gives you the ability to excel , through the feedback from others.
-
Whom should I ask to perform a talent checkup?
Your prior or current colleagues, clients, managers and subordinates are all good sources of feedback. Anyone who has worked with you in some capacity, whether in a company or as a volunteer in a non profit organization make great participants. If you are just coming out of school, a Talent Checkup could be from an interim work agency, a professor for whom you assisted, or other groups you were involved with. We do not recommend asking family, friends or neighbors, as their opinion is not work related. Start with individuals from your most recent job.
-
Is Checkster a 360 feedback survey?
Checkster, in some aspects, is similar to a 360 feedback survey. The difference is that with Checkster you are in control of initiating the career assessment process. Checkster is also faster to perform and provides better reports for interpreting the respondents' data.
